The Packers are doing a great job so far of working over the Steeler’s defense. The biggest part of it right now is the effectiveness of the Packer’s run game so far. Starks has only ran the ball 7 times, but he’s getting 5 yards a crack. If they want to win this game, they’re going to have to keep running. Get that clock running. It really seems like they’ve yet to be stopped, but that’s mainly because they’ve only been on the field for 11 minutes.
The Steelers are dominating the time of possesion battle, but with two picks so far, they’re having trouble finishing off the drives. I said before that the Steelers have only played one good half of football in each game so far, and I’m not sure if this was the good or bad one. I fear for them that it was the good one, with a couple bad breaks. However, if it was the bad half, we could have some finish on our hands, folks. In order to be effective this half, Mendenhall can’t be tackled in the back field every other play.
I thought the NFL got this halftime show right. The only complaint I have is to not get such a techno-like band, as they tend to sound like crap live.
